SAFETY
ON THE HILLS & BRONZE LEVEL NNAS |

The Safety On the Hills course is the first day of a two-day Bronze level NNAS course run on behalf of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority. Both days constitute a half day in the classroom and a half day outdoors, and deals with a range of hill-walking topics with emphasis on map-reading, navigation, and safety issues.
The course is held at the Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre, Libanus.
Fee both days is £45:00, (second day reduced to £35:00 if booked at the same time). and a deposit of £5:00 for the Bronze course is required, returnable if min. number
of 4 persons is not met, the price includes morning tea/coffee and parking fee.

An attendance certificate is given for the Safety on the Hills course, and NNAS certificate is awarded for successful participants on the Bronze course. |

NNAS
An additional 1 day course based on half day in classroom and half day outdoor assessment. Candidtes must complete the "Safety on the Hills" course before attempting the Bronze level NNAS

A three day course based on two days spent mainly on the hillside practicing micro navigation skills with map and compass, plus full outdoor assessment day.
Choose any combination of Day 1 + Day 2 followed
by any Day 3.

A three day course based on two days spent on the hillside using judgment, experience and appropriate navigating techniques on complicated mountain terrain plus one full outdoor assessment day.
